Pre-wedding feature time…. Yayyyy!!! Today, we have Nnamdi & Vicky who had their pre-wedding shoot with Okolie Kenneth Photography. Read their story and view pictures from the shoot below;

How They Met

I met Nnamdi in 2004, when I went to seek for admission in Enugu State University of Science and Technology (ESUT). My sisters were already in the school and were friends to Nnamdi and his friends (2 0f them).

Two days after, my sister invited me to a birthday party – Nnamdi’s and two of his friends’. They had a joint birthday party as they were born in the month of April on the 1st, 6th and 18th. We got them some gifts and when it was time to present the gifts, my sister told me to do the presentation. I tried giving the gift to one of his friends, but he was busy and the other one was nowhere to be found. And suddenly I saw my prince charming around and I presented the gift to him.

The next day, he and one of his friends’ came to our house to say thank you for the gift; he asked that I join the same pious group with him in church, which I accepted. While awaiting admission into ESUT, we became close, but we were ‘just friends’.

My admission did not work out in ESUT and I had to leave Enugu after about six months to Abuja. I eventually gained admission into the University of Abuja (UniAbuja), Nnamdi and I never stopped talking, we kept in touch. It was only after I left Enugu that I realised I really liked Nnamdi. My sisters noticed as I constantly asked after him. Even his friends noticed I really liked him. But guess what, he was not ready for any relationship. I asked myself, ‘when will he be ready?’, ‘will it be me?’ I also thought at the time he seemed interested in someone else. Deep within me, I would pray that God will touch him to have a change of mind.

In 2009,  he called and as usual, we got talking, we started talking about relationships and told me that he was interested in a relationship now and that he wants me to be his girlfriend. Deep within me, I smiled and appreciated God for answering my prayers since 2004, but being a lady, I told him I will have to think about it (winks). Of course I said ‘Yes’ and so we started dating, and yes it was a distant relationship; Abuja and Lagos no be mai-mai at all, but we understood ourselves and things flowed. They say distant relationships do not work out and that out of a 100, only about 5 work, but mine worked out as we were both serious and trusted God for the best. He visited a few times, like twice in a year (laughs); he kept his visits simple. In fact, friends often asked me how I coped and said things like ‘you cannot trust men’ and I always replied, ‘Yes, you cannot trust men, I trust my man a little, but I trust the ‘God’ in my man more because I know he fears God.’

He came into Abuja to see his cousin (according to him o) last year, September 2014 and I was there; I didn’t have to wait for an IV. His cousin served us food, after eating, I did the dishes and coming out of the kitchen my Prince Charming was on his knees and he popped the question and of course I said YES, YES, YES…
