Prince Harry & Meghan Markle’s Royal Wedding | Live Update

Prince Harry and Canadian actress, Meghan Markle are set to get married today, the 19th of May 2018 at St. George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle in London. From Meghan’s Givenchy wedding dress, the cake baked by Claire Ptak from Violet Cakes London, the stunning ambient decor at Windsor castle and more, keep refreshing as LoveWeddingsNG brings you live updates from the most anticipated wedding of the year.

Order of service: Buckingham Palace revealed the full order of service for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding earlier today. The 21-page booklet gives details of when the wedding party will arrive, the history of St George’s Chapel, as well as information on the hymns, songs, prayers, readings, and music.

The venue: The royal wedding ceremony held at St Georges Chapel at Windsor Castle, a chapel designed in the high-medieval Gothic style.

Decor: St George’s Chapel was decorated overnight and transformed into floral heaven by Philippa Craddock. With an arch of white roses at the west door entrance to the chapel and garlands to match, we love how stunning and natural the wedding decor is. It also complements the already stunning and heavily detailed chapel.

Music: As expected, the church ceremony featured a lot of hymns. However, there was a special performance of ‘Stand by Me‘ by Karen Gibson and the Kingdom Choir right before Prince Harry and Meghan Markle exchanged their wedding vows

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex: Prince Harry and Ms Meghan Markle will be addressed as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex after their wedding, Buckingham Palace revealed.

Meghan’s wedding outfit: Meghan Markle wore a simple but elegant pure white, boat neck gown designed by British designer, Clare Waight Keller, the artistic director of Givenchy for the ceremony. Kensington Palace said “Ms. Markle, who met Waight Keller this year, chose to work closely with her on the design because of her “timeless and elegant aesthetic, impeccable tailoring, and relaxed demeanor”.

She later changed into a custom silk evening dress in “lily white” by Stella McCartney. The dress featured a high halter neck with a sexy open back.

Photography: The couple’s wedding photos will be shot by Alexi Lubomirski; the same photographer who shot Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s engagement photos

Cake: The wedding cake was baked by Claire Ptak, an author and food stylist who runs Violet Bakery in London. The cake is made up of lemon sponge, with an elderflower syrup, featuring Amalfi lemon curd and covered with a Swiss Meringue elderflower buttercream.

Keep refreshing for more!
