How I met Stanley is nothing short of God’s handiwork. I thank God everyday for bringing such an amazing man into my life and I grow more and more in love with him everyday,

Wow, where do I start… Well I can definitely say that God had been preparing Stan and I for each other long before we met and the more I look back at things and I’m amazed at how God works in mysterious ways. It was just under 3 years ago when I bumped into a lady on the bus who invited me to come to her church, we only spoke for about 3 minutes and in that time quickly exchanged numbers.

I didn’t think much of it because I have my own church, which I regularly attend but little did I know what God had in store.

About 2 or 3 months later, I began to sense the Holy Spirit tugging me to contact the lady and visit the church. I sensed that there was some link between the church and meeting my future husband but it was very difficult for me to ever go because I couldn’t get time away from my regular church… but God made sure he made a way.

God literally brought the church to my doorstep!! so I had no excuse. About 9 months after I first bumped into the lady on the bus I finally attended the church. I was really blessed from the times I visited there but didn’t meet any ‘potential’s lol!! and started to think that maybe it was all in my head and that it wasn’t the Holy Spirit speaking to me at all.

Just when I was about to give up believing altogether, God sent a prophetic word to encourage me just when I needed it and although I didn’t remember much from the prophecy, I remembered the resounding words that something would happen in ‘April’. So fast forward about 6 months to April 2013 (right on cue) I met a doctor on the ward at work who had a feeling I might be good for one of his friends heheheh!!! and eventually took my number to pass on to Stanley.

Stan took ageeeesssss!!! to finally call (I was beginning to think maybe I had given the wrong number or something) but once we finally spoke, after a few phone conversations I started to sense something brewing. Turns out he had recently started attending the same church that I had visited that time back and we were finding out that we had so much in common. But it was when I finally met Stan face-to-face on our first ‘blind-date’ that I became certain that he would be my future husband. Crazy I know! but when you know… you just know.

I remember calling all my girls the very next day to tell them about my date and slyly drop hints that I might be getting married sooner than I expected.

Fast forward 9 months and we’re engaged!

The past year and a half has been amazing, can’t imagine life without Stan in it and can’t wait to see what else God has in store for us as we go through life together.

It’s funny how things can pan out, but I thank God for writing my love story in the most unique way.

“The man who finds a wife finds a treasure and he receives favor from the LORD.” That’s how I feel with the choice I have made, prosperous and blessed. Antonia is a gem by definition her name means ‘priceless’ so paying dowry will be a pointless practice. LOL!!! I can go on and list all the things I love about Antonia but that would be only words and I’m a man of action. Instead let me speak through Proverbs 31:29 “there are many fine women, but you surpass them all. Preach! Amen to that.

How We Met? Interestingly, as children we lived in the same area of Deptford and most probably saw each other but cannot recollect. I got a job in Orpington for a duration of 3 years which was not my first choice. I was quite disappointed. A misfortune turned to a blessing for I was able to meet my future wife there. Although we were working in the same hospital for several months, our paths never crossed until I became saved. “But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.” My home boy OJN introduced me to Antonia at work, the rest is history.

She is extremely similar to me, we share many characteristics I felt were specific to myself (lol she knows what I mean). Antonia had a very short probation period because she fulfilled all the criteria; I had to promote her with haste, principles of good business. Nice pairing, a doctor with a pharmacist, I prescribe then she meticulously looks for errors before dispensing. I hope we apply this concept in everything we do as a couple.
