You know how wide-eyed and hopefully dreamful an applicant can look right? Yea, multiply that by ten, and you would have exactly how I looked the first day I saw Chiedu.
So I went for that interview (do not ask me how well I performed) and I got talking with one of the staff after the interview and took his number (Note: I took it). So I reached out, asked him to follow up on my application and get back to me (see me thinking just about the job oh).
Chilling two days later, Chiedu calls, asking to know me better. I thought ‘nice looking guy, kinda funny, would be fun to know him and so I agreed.
So we kept chatting, finding unnecessary reasons to call, and we found ourselves at the beach a month after that call. You really have to wait for what I will say next, because Chiedu just went all spontaneous on me. Chiedu whipped out his phone and played “When you kiss me” by Shania Twain, gave this long speech about how he likes me and asked me out officially (girls get in here, frankly thought the speech was boring because no man is spontaneous enough to play you Shania Twain of all people and you would say no to him, so frankly in my mind I was like “can we get to the part I say yes already?”
Cutting it all down, I said yes (ladies we know these things) and its been a whole new learning experience for us, an experience we will seal on the 13th of June, 2015 in Lagos. Thanks and enjoy our pre-wedding photos.
