Their Story (by the Groom – Ade)
How it all Started – I met Ene at a family friends wedding. I first noticed her when she was dancing while escorting the bride into the church hall, my first reaction was “this girl dances funny”. But I was looking beyond that (She had a glow and smile that I had never seen before) .
How did you know she the one – It was New Years Eve a few days before I met her and during the cross-over service I asked God for a wife. This might sound cliché, but I knew she was the one the moment I saw her. We bonded immediately.
The proposal and Her reaction – I proposed to her on her birthday. We went to a spa with a few of her friends. She had no idea what was going to happen. I was nervous and went to the rest room to rehearse. As I came out, she had her back towards me, I went down on one knee (forming romantic guy… lol) called her name and as she turned to look at me, I presented the ring and asked her if she would marry me. Her reaction was priceless. She was shocked and overjoyed at the same time. She screamed YES and we hugged and kissed, I could feel her shaking.
Where do you see yourself in 10 years – I see us as a very Happy, God fearing family with kids and our love growing stronger.
Final Words – It is said that “He who finds a wife has found a good thing”. I have found my wife, my friend and it’s a great thing. There is nothing I am more sure of and I look forward to the beginning of our great Journey. God bless us. (Amen).
