We know, we’ve not had a ‘What We Loved About #NigerianWeddingHashtag’ post in a while. It’s been so so busy, we’ve been working on so much behind the scenes so bear with us while we get ourselves together. It’s an exciting time for the LoveweddingsNG brand.

Back to the post, we  met Joy and Ifeanyi at an event earlier this year so when we saw their wedding on Instagram, we were excited. And then, we started to see the ‘special touches’ in bits and pieces and OMG!!! This wedding was indeed beautiful. According to their wedding planner – Perfect Events, Joy and Ifeanyi wanted their wedding to be elegant, timeless with lots of special touches.

From the bride’s makeup to the decor, the unique wedding favours and more, we present Everything We Loved About #JoyandIfeanyi2016.

Bride’s Makeup: We love how subtle the bride’s makeup was. We also love the fact that it didn’t make her look massively different. In these days of highlighting and contouring, its very easy for makeup artists to transform a bride to a totally different person. We’re so glad Joy Adenuga kept everything natural, neutral and even with the bride’s natural skin tone.

The Venue: The venue was absolutely perfect for this wedding. You know when the hall is beautiful on its own and has character. We actually can’t explain this properly… in fact no words here, we’ll let the pictures do the talking.

Mirror Welcome Sign & Seating Plan: Joy and Ifeanyi had a beautiful 6.5ft tall ornate mirror seating plan & a mirror welcome sign, the sequin linen cloths and gold ornate table frames, which were all supplied by Perfect Events.

The Decor: The reception venue was beautifully transformed by Beverley Wilson Flowers and her team, the Grand Hall at Dulwich College has never looked so good! Perfect example of how flowers can make such a difference to any venue, coupled with the gorgeous scents that enveloped the entire room.

In the lower hall, Beverley Wilson Flowers created a fabulous paper flower wall, which whilst being decorative was also used as a backdrop for red carpet style photos – an alternative to having a photo booth!!!

The Cake: Our vendor – TY Couture Cakes just slays wedding cakes anyhow and Joy and Ifeanyi’s grand wedding cake was no exception. The bride apparently spotted a similar design on our Instagram page – @LoveweddingsNG and knew instantly she had found her dream wedding cake. The cake was personalised to include the couples initials and one tier with ruffles. Everything about this wedding was so understated but yet so elegant.

Wedding Favours: In the evening, a professional photographer took guests photos which were printed instantly and given to guests as a wedding favour from the couple.

We caught up with Perfect Events who provided full wedding planning and event design services for Joy and Ifeanyi. They handled the venue search, securing vendors, RSVP and guest management. Perfect Events worked with an amazing team of vendors to bring the event design and Joy’s vision to fruition, taking care of all the finishing touches, budget management, logistics, planning every last detail from the smallest to the largest.

They also received amazing feedback from the bride;
