Your Brand In Three Words… Creative, Colourful and Unique

The Part of My Job I Enjoy The Most? Client relationship, the interaction, diversity, expectation of clients comes with a wealth of challenges. Managing all this and coming up with a tailored service that oozes maximum satisfaction for my clients is like a breath of fresh air. You know they will ‘sell you well’ by word of mouth

What’s the most difficult part of your job? The most difficult part of my job is trying to get excited guests with mobile devices taking pictures out of the way during weddings. Guests tend to forget they were invited to act as guests. It’s annoying when you go through images and the best ones have a guest with their hand popping in that one shot with a mobile or iPad blocking the couple.

My Biggest Accomplishment To Date… One of my biggest accomplishment’s to date would have to be covering an event in London for Nigerian dignitaries. I had the honour of working and meeting with the vice president of Nigeria – Yemi Osinbajo.

Do you think Nigerian wedding vendors are respected enough? I honestly think that we are respected. Most of us have our own signature; when you see our work, clients can tell even without our watermark whose work they are looking at, that’s a great thing!

The Best Vendor you’ve worked with? The best vendor I have worked with is A’ffinity Q. He is not a vendor to me, we are like brothers, the bond between us goes beyond photography, and we are like family. We talk almost every day and the Key Topic is always photography…

One Quality Every Nigerian Wedding Vendor Must Have and Why? Temperament: As a photographer, you need to have a gentle tone and good behaviour. Many times people have come up to me after an event to say they have been watching me all day… You never know where your next booking will come from, that person could be at the event you are covering.

Most Embarrassing/Awkward Experience… I was covering an event when I first started and it was time to cut the cake; my battery flash died and the spare was in the car. I learnt from that experience to always have a spare of my photography peripherals within arm’s length.

Does anything scare you? Before every event, I’m normal nervous but once I take that first shot, my brain goes into overdrive…

What makes you laugh? When I remember some of the things my children say to me. They have a great sense of humour…..

What’s the best souvenir you’ve gone home with from a wedding you’ve attended/worked at? A crate of wine…

Your thoughts on social media? For business to strive in this day and age, social media is very important. Your image out there is extremely vital. Always innovate, innovate, innovate and evolve new concepts and ideas relating to photography. You stand out with vintage ideas and concepts.

Do you ever Google yourself or your company? At least four times a month; I check to see if any new information comes up in the search results.

And what did you find? Images from way back, my journey so far, how I have improved from when I started. My clients that have stuck with me and creativity.
