From lingerie-inspired dresses, feathers, see all the bridal fashion trends we spotted at #LBFW2019

From lingerie-inspired dresses, two-piece sets to feathers to halternecks; these are some of the trends we spotted at the recently concluded London Bridal Fashion Week 2019 (#LBFW2019). The event held at the ExCel London from the 24th to the 26th of March 2019 and LoveWeddingsNG was there.

We shared some bridal collections we spotted, catch up HERE if you missed them. Today, we’re sharing all the bridal fashion trends we spotted on the runway.

Capestatics: Capes came to play at London Bridal Fashion Week. From Ivory & Co, Eliza Jane Howell to Ronald Joyce, here are some caped bridal dresses we spotted.

Move over white, cream and ivory; the coloured dresses are here: The popular bridal colours – white, off-white, cream and ivory weren’t the only ones on the runway at this year’s show. We started noticing this trend last year with Nigerian brides and that’s why it made our 2018 Nigerian Wedding Trends report. From Coya Collection, Le Papillion by Modeca, Victoria Sanders and many other bridal designers, we saw a number of coloured bridal dresses.  We saw red, grey, yellow, black and other colours.

Lingerie-inspired bridal dresses: From corsets, delicate fabrics and textures, a lot of dresses from #LBFW2019 screamed lingerie and seductive. Check out these pieces from Danit Levi, Sincerity, Justin Alexander, Lilly and Charles, Victoria Sanders, and Le Papillion by Modeca.

Two-piece sets: Separates were not left out of London Bridal Fashion Week. From cropped tops to pantsuits, jackets and more, here are some pieces from Justin Alexander, Peony Rice, Allure Bridals, Eliza Jane Howell and BSS by Safiyya.

Layered Tulle: Tulle came to play at London Bridal Fashion Week 2019 in layers. All these pieces from DandO, Danit Levi, Le Papillion by Modeca, Tiffanys, Morilee and Tal Kedem‘s collections will make you swoon.

Feathers: This was a trend we were proud to see; feathers are popular with Nigerian brides particularly at traditional weddings but it was great to see them in full bridal form adding a luxurious touch to these pieces. Check out these dresses from Danit Levi, Ronald Joyce, Eternity Bridal, Peony Rice and Eliza Jane Howell.

Halternecks: Halternecks are back and for the bride who has beautiful shoulders and wants to show a little skin but keep her look classy, they’re perfect. These pieces from Allure Bridals, Ronald Joyce, Tiffanys, Coya Collection, Eternity Bridal, Le Papillion by Modeca, and Victoria Sanders.

The sleeves are out to play: Last but not least, from cape sleeves to extra sleeves, we loved these pieces and sleeves from Allure Bridals, Justin Alexander, Danit Levi, and Ronald Joyce.
