Alexandra & Jesse’s love story features a special Parker Pen | #AJUnion2019

Ghanaian couple, Alexandra and Jesse met in 2014; she was oblivious to the fact that her husband ‘the one’ was right in front of her. Read their love story and see pictures from their prewedding shoot, traditional and white wedding.

Our love story

We met in Victory Life Baptist church in 2014. We had mutual friends so we were around each other a lot. What Jesse never knew during that time was that he really supported me at times when I felt alone. His check ups and lovely messages really did put a smile on my soul… It was really tough moving to a different country – not knowing many people and being far away from your immediate family. But having a friend like Jesse really mattered and helped during tough times.

Funny enough, I was studying Fashion Marketing and was over the fact about having a relationship. I just wanted a successful career. I couldn’t see what was blossoming. Totally oblivious…

I think everything begun when I started thinking about my future, wanting to share experiences with a significant other. Praying about it daily, but never knew it was right in front of me…

My in-law and friends were on my case about Jesse, they kept pounding my head about him. I didn’t think he was the one at the time.

To this day, my friends keep reminding me that they gave me good advice lol. One even says “you better thank me“. Ha!

Our first date… Jesse likes to call it a friendly dinner… As if it was a football match.

I was super nervous, didn’t know what to feel or think. Extremely awkward because I didn’t want it to be a thing just because we went out. I think I was stressed and nervous. But it was really nice, we had a laugh and a nice chat.

Super cute, once he drove me home, he walked me to my door then realized that he forgot my graduation gift in the car. I couldn’t believe that he got me a GIFT, cute. So he ran back to the car to get my gift. As nervous as he was, he said; it’s nothing crazy just a… something to use when you have something important to sign. I was like huh!???

He got me a Parker Pen… I told my mum and she said he’s an intelligent man that’s why.

Fast forward 4 years later… I never used it, and still haven’t. I’m waiting for our wedding day to sign with that special pen with my soul mate.
