Dodo’s trad look is an inspiration for minimalist Urhobo brides

The Urhobo traditional bridal look from Delta state, Nigeria usually has the bride wearing a lace blouse, a wrapper, a large gele (sometimes a double gele), and coral beads. When makeup artist and beauty influencer, Dodos Uvieghara got married in 2019, her first look as an Urhobo bride was stunning, repped Delta state but was also minimalist.

Dodos wore a gold turtle-neck blouse with long puff sleeves, a brown beaded wrapper made by Beth O’Couture, and a very portable gele styled by Taiwos Touch. She accessorized her look with long coral beads, silver earrings, a Marte Egele purse and a pair of brown Amina Muaddi shoes to match!
