Make Room for #HookedOnTheFaminus

By now, you’ve probably seen the hashtag #HookedOnTheFaminus floating around. And if you haven’t? You’re welcome. Akin Faminu and Kiky Festus just dropped their civil wedding photos, and instead of giving us one fashion look, they decided to serve three.

In case you need a quick catch up, Akin Faminu is a doctor and one of Nigeria’s most watched fashion influencers, and Kiky Festus is a dental officer and lifestyle content creator. He proposed to her in Paris, because of course he did, and the internet has not been the same since. Their civil wedding photos were posted on the April 13th and we are in for a very good time. Here’s every single one.

Let’s start with the official one. Kiky Festus showed up in a stunning two-piece that was designed by Mazelle Bridal โ€” a structured long-sleeved ivory top with a flowing draped skirt. The real star, however, was that pillbox-style hat with a short birdcage veil. She also finished things off with silver heels and a loose white-and-blush bouquet.

Akin Faminu, on the other hand, kept it classic and sharp in a white dinner jacket that was made by Deji and Kola, complete with black trousers, a long white tie, and silver shoes. When they stood together on that black and white checkered marble floor? Pure art. The whole thing was styled by The Style Infidel, and sincerely? We have no notes.

After that, the couple switched things up. Kiky Festus stepped into a warm pink dress that was created by Mide World with a rose detail at the back that stopped us in our โ€œscrollsโ€. Without a doubt, it was colorful, bubbly, and completely her.

Akin Faminu, meanwhile, came through in a suit made by Deji & Kola, with stitches everywhere, like it was still in production but in the best way possible. It looked like it belonged in an art gallery. This makes sense, because that’s exactly where the photos were taken. This whole look was artistic, romantic, and a little bit tender.

And just when we thought they were done, they hit us with this.

Kiky Festus wore a transparent tulle bridal robe by Robes by Tinakatelier. The sheer fabric gave that barely-there, airy effect and the long sleeves made it feel modest but in a cool way. Little pearls and beads were scattered across the sleeves and bodice โ€” just enough without being too much. And the corset underneath? You could see it on purpose. That modern bridal thing? She ate it.

Akin Faminu, meanwhile, went completely left in a custom look by Orange Culture NG with a blue blazer and white pants. It was giving daring, experimental, and refreshing. This is for the groom who isn’t afraid to take risks.

Finally, one civil wedding for Akin Faminu and Kiky Festus got three looks and we still have two more ceremoniesโ€ฆ. anyways we’re sat! As Akin said best when the first photos were shared: “Signed, sealed, and forever.”

#HookedOnTheFaminus still has a traditional wedding and a white wedding coming. If these three looks are any sign? We are not ready.
