(Minister Abbey Ojomu & Pastor OluSanmi Odujoko’s Wedding Celebration)
Some couples announce their love stories before they even start. Abbey Ojomu did not. The minister who has spent years leading other people into worship kept her own love story completely to herself. On July 15, 2026, she finally let the world in, she married Pastor OluSanmi Odujoko, a gospel minister at Life Worship who also works in HR. And the part that got everyone? She was already married weeks before she made the announcement.
Turns out the two of them had quietly done the legal work 49 days before she told anyone, a small civil wedding at the Marriage Registry in Lagos with just close family and a few fellow ministers in the room. No announcement, no countdown, no hint. Just two people making a decision together and keeping it between themselves until they were ready.
Then came the traditional wedding at Detutu Event Centre in Ogudu Extension, and this one was a completely different energy. You could feel it from the videos alone, aso ebi everywhere, two families finally meeting properly, all the colour and joy and noise that a good Nigerian Yoruba traditional wedding should have.

The whole celebration has been going under one hashtag, #TheSceptre, but it is the church wedding that people cannot stop talking about. The room was full of familiar gospel faces, Theophilus Sunday and his wife Ashley Sunday were there, and Pastor Chris Delvan Gwamna also joined them, to witness everything and pray over the couple. For a woman who has spent so much of her life ministering to others, having that kind of community around her on her wedding day felt like exactly the right thing.
Minister Abbey Ojomu and Pastor OluSanmi Odujoko, we see you and we are so happy for you both. Here is to a lifetime of love, laughter, and keeping each other’s secrets a little while longer.
Congratulations ♥️
