Inside The Lagos Bridal Show 2026: 2 Days of Fashion and Wedding Inspiration

The Lagos Bridal Show 2026 has come and gone, but we’re still thinking about some of the things we saw over those two days. It was held at the Federal Palace Hotel & Casino in Victoria Island, Lagos, the show brought together bridal designers, wedding brands, industry professionals, creatives and couples for two days of conversations, fashion and everything in between.

As media partners, LoveWeddingsNG was there to take it all in. Day 1 started with conversations about the future of Nigeria’s bridal industry, while Day 2 brought the fashion to the runway.

Day 1: The Conversations

The first day took place at The View, where the conversation centred on “The Future of Nigeria’s Bridal Industry: Creativity, Innovation & Global Opportunities.”

The panel was moderated by Gbemi Olateru-Olagbegi and featured:

  • Rhoda Ebun — Founder, The Lagos Bridal Show & RTF Company
  • Kola Kuddus — Creative Director, Kola Kuddus & President of FADAN
  • Fade Awolesi — Founder, My Wedding Inspo
  • Diipo Ayo-Adeusi — Creative Director, Light in the Market Place
  • Shadiat Kosoko — Creative Director, Shadiat Ala

There was a lot to unpack during the conversation, but one thing that stood out was the growing opportunity for Nigerian bridal brands to reach brides outside the country.

Nigerian designers already have brides in the diaspora looking to them for wedding outfits, so the conversation naturally moved to what it takes to meet that demand without losing the craftsmanship and cultural details that make their work Nigerian.

And then there was the part we don’t always see when we look at a finished wedding dress: the work behind it. Textile sourcing, local production and supply chains all came up as part of the bigger conversation about growing bridal businesses. Because getting a beautiful design in front of a bride is one thing. Being able to produce it consistently and meet demand is another.

Collaboration also came up, with a focus on designers, accessory brands, media and other people in the wedding industry finding ways to work together.

It was a fitting conversation to have at a show like this. So many different parts of the bridal industry were in the same room, and before the runway even began, we got to hear from some of the people thinking about where the industry is going.

Day 2: The Runway

By Day 2, the conversation moved from the ballroom to the runway.

The Ballroom at the Federal Palace Hotel & Casino was where the designers, models, beauty teams and guests came together for the fashion showcases. Before the runway got underway, guests made their way through the black carpet and enjoyed a cocktail by Champagne Laurent-Perrier.

  1. TitiBelo X Hattabelles opened the show with looks made for more than just the wedding day. There were crisp white jacquard pieces, mini dresses with bubble hems, structured suits and kimono sleeves, alongside Hattabelles’ statement hats and veils.
  1. Then BOTU X Christine Atelier brought colour to the runway with flowing organza gowns in shades of ice blue, yellow, electric blue and fuchsia. There were ruffles, floral details and plenty of movement.

  1. For the grooms, David Wej brought a selection of sharp, modern tailoring, including off-white dinner jackets, midnight navy suits and classic black tuxedos.

Looking Back

What made the two days interesting was the mix. We went from conversations about building and growing Nigeria’s bridal industry to seeing those ideas come alive through fashion, beauty and design. There was traditional bridal wear, wedding gowns, groom’s looks, accessories, bridal hair and plenty of ideas for couples planning their weddings.

And as media partners, we got to experience it all from the front row but we’re not done yet. Over the next few articles, we’ll be taking a closer look at some of the designers and collections that caught our attention at The Lagos Bridal Show 2026. So if you want to see more of what came down that runway, stay with us.
