Nollywood actress, Adunni Ade is rocking what we think is the perfect look for the modern day Yoruba traditional bride. We love everything about this look – the vintage aso oke fabric, the makeup and gele. We caught up with makeup artist, Oteniara Makeovers who told us more about the shoot.
This look was created as an inspiration for the modern day Yoruba bride with a fusion of vintage asooke. It’s chic, stylish and sophisticated for the modern day bride as the vintage red stripped asooke was made into a dress with a big detachable bow at the back to spice up the look. However it can be rocked as the main traditional outfit with gele or as a second outfit for the traditional look by simply removing the gele and having a simple updo nicely styled.
