September 23rd, 2016 – I strolled into an upscale bar in downtown Lagos Nigeria. It was another hangout with the famous Mojito squad and as expected everyone was turning up except this one lady who was cheering everyone on and enjoying her orange juice instead of joining the party.
I walked up to her said hello, harassed her for her choice of beverage, tried to get her to do shots all to no avail. Something about her kind refusal struck a chord and I decided to stay friends with her, the best decision I ever made!
3+ years, a first date, one proposal, and many great memories later, I am marrying that beautiful, orange juice drinking cheer-leading, young lady!
