House of Marie released pictures from the label’s Resort 2015 collection – ‘The Empress of Love’. Read the press release below;
The story of an Empress awakened in a fantasy world takes centre stage in the creation of our Resort 2015 collection. Inspired by the strength and warrior spirit of an empress in love, the collection unfolds bearing witness to a love so potent that it couldn’t possibly exist in reality. Inspired by this love story lived and realized in a wonder garden, an Eden of sorts for our heroine, the House of Marie Resort 15 collection is strong yet sweet. It tells her story through its use of a soft, feminine, yet regal and strong color palette. The beautiful and otherworldly nature of this tale is reflected in the prints, sequins and oddly placed concept pockets that are strong and present features in this collection. The presence of blue is an ode to the regality of its heroine, outlining with pink her softness and femininity. Her military might lent its inspiration to the crafting of collars and structures. Crowning her glory and the ethereal nature of her love and desires were the colors white and gold, there to impress upon us the nature and status of the empress. The House of Marie Resort 15 collection above all, is an homage to romance and strength.
