Nigerian photographer – Mofe Bamuyiwa of BMB Photography got inspired about 4 weeks ago and created a platform – ‘Glam Your Wedding Dress’ to help former brides get great bridal portraits.
Mofe, in collaboration with a team of fantastic vendors, planned the first of 10 shoots with former bride and makeup artist – Chioma Ngbaronye of Omazpro Beauty, who flew into Lagos from Calabar to be a part of this project.
Chioma, who got married in 2008, took a photography course with Mofe about a month ago and loved her work. After the course, Chioma left Lagos and went back to Calabar; Mofe got in touch and told her about ‘Glam Your Wedding Dress’; she loved the idea and agreed to be a part of it. Chioma was full of praise for Mofe for putting together this project and described the shoot as a ‘wonderful experience seeing vendors work together with so much happiness and zeal.’
We asked Chioma what she thought about the bridal portraits from 2008 vs her recent bridal portraits by BMB Photography; she said;
‘I got married in 2008 and I don’t think I would have looked any different than what I looked like because I believe I looked trendy. The bridal portraits by Mofe show what I would look like as a bride getting married in 2016.’
Here are portraits of Chioma from her wedding day (2008)
