Chinyere ‘Chi Chi’ Uzeh and Adedeji got married recently. Their traditional wedding held on the Thursday, the 7th of June, 2018 and their white wedding holds today, Saturday, the 9th of June 2018. Chi Chi’s traditional wedding looks styled by Nigerian bridal stylist, Lavish Bridal caught our attention.
Chinyere, a Delta-Igbo bride and CEO of Nigerian wedding planning company, Qwint Perfect hired Lavish Bridal to put her wedding outfits together. Lavish Bridal calls her the Whimsical Bride! Check out Chinyere’s style journey from a Delta-Igbo bride to a Yoruba bride, as told by Lavish Bridal.
Chinyere’s first look reflected her playful personality. The look featured an olive green colour palette and coral beads. ‘We switched up the hairstyle to show her playful side and the oversized bow added a nice unique detail to this outfit’.
For her second look, the Delta-Igbo bride wore an off-shoulder blouse and skirt with a cute bow. The skirt was made of Akwa Ocha (a fabric made from wool; it’s the traditional cloth worn by the people of Anioma region of Delta state, Nigeria) and featured a white bow detail, which we absolutely love. We love the modern twist on this outfit and it reminds us of how Deola Sagoe’s Komole redefined Yoruba traditional bridal outfits. According to Lavish Bridal, ‘ChiChi looked like a Delta Igbo queen that she is!’ and we agree.
For her third look, ChiChi’s outfit featured a fun bottle green colour mix with lots of hand beading. We think she nailed the ‘Yoruba traditional bridal look’.
