How we met
I met my husband at my place of work. He was working on another wing within the same axis. We are both aviators. He always left his office and came all the way to mine to gist and hang around. I never for once knew that he was coming around just because of me.
Our friendship grew from time to time and now we are here! I cannot wait to spend the rest of my life with my heart ❤️.
The Proposal
I wanted to propose to my wife in Dubai, I had made arrangements for the ring, a photographer and location in Dubai but the embassy held her passport so I had to make arrangements last minute to propose at a hotel in Ikeja. I had the hotel manager create a romantic scene at the room, he had petals all over the place. The hotel manager took pictures and videos himself as it was last minute. My Abeni said yes!
About the wedding
The hashtag “#FlyBN2018” was the name of the airline. We infused the aviation theme into every detail of the wedding.
For the wedding stationery; the wedding invites were passports and the access cards were boarding passes. The ushers were dressed as cabin crew members; the MC was dressed as a pilot; they had an aviation-themed cake and an aviation-themed grand entrance to their reception.
The wedding planner, The Pearl Jacob explained; “For the grand entrance, we created a 28ft long elevated runway with a splittable mega screen. We created a video that showed the #FlyBN2018 flight taking off and landing, which was displayed on the mega screen. Upon arrival, we had the screen split open and the runway lights lit while the guests watched and screamed in amusement as the couple danced through. It was an awesome experience.”
