Their wedding Fathia held on Friday, the 20th of August 2021. According to BBC Pidgin, the couple were joined by the Communications Minister, Isa Ali Pantami, and the Chief Imam for Bichi central mosque announced that they were husband and wife. As expected, the ceremony was attended by top dignitaries such as Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, former President Goodluck Jonathan, former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, the Ooni of Ife, the First Lady of Gambia, Fatoumata Bah Barrow, the wife of the Gambian Ambassador to Nigeria, Bintou Njie, Nigerian Senators, Ministers, Governors and more.
