Juneteenth! Also known as Freedom Day, Jubilee Day, Liberation Day, and Emancipation Day, Juneteenth is a holiday celebrating the emancipation of those who had been enslaved in the United States. To celebrate, Perfété published an article titled “Juneteenth: An Ode to Black weddings“. The article, which was a collaborative effort with a team of wedding vendors, paid homage by taking a closer look at the history of black weddings and marriages in the United States.
Will you take this #Inclusivity Pledge? A team of wedding vendors started a call for action asking for the support shown to black wedding vendors over the last two weeks since the Black Lives Matter protests to move past a trend. The video asked for “a commitment to lasting change” quoting benefits that a more inclusive industry will bring. We love the idea behind this and fully support this movement.
Finally, we hope you had a wonderful Father’s Day celebration on Sunday, the 21st of June.
