Unification Of Bride Price: According to The Guardian Nigeria, a bill for the unification of bride price and other marriage-related matters passed its second reading on the floor of the Imo State House of Assembly. “The proposed piece of legislation, which is sponsored by Kennedy Ibe of the Obowo constituency, also stipulates that the bride price and total expense for the marriage rites will not exceed N80,000 and N180,000.” Read more about the bill here.
